Bonus video download (XviD): Rick Steves visit to Iran from America (SOON)
From IMDB:
A fascinating and revealing view of life inside Iran, with NYTimes correspondent Thomas Erdbrink.
With humor and curiosity, he shares a rare journey into a private Iran often at odds with its conservative
clerics and leaders.
Director: Roel van Broekhoven
Writer: Roel van Broekhoven
Bonus video: Xvid from DVD Rick Steves (USA) documentary on Iran - Rick leaves
Iran having been impressed with the warmth of the people there and suggesting we
try friendship instead of current strategies of course and concluding the folks
there to be worth getting to know certainly! By the way, the Narrator notes that fully 70% of Iranian women object to their dress code when asked in private.
And as the Narrator in our previous video "Dinner with the president" points out, there is no biblical or koranic
mention of any such need or requirement to keep women covered in such fashion as the Mullas reigning in
parts of the Islamic world seem bent on insisting on - even restricting such worldly pleasures as music for crissakes
even for periods of religious observation of their own conception of what a supposedly more "pure" or "spiritual"
orientation demands of others in respect of self denial or oppressiveness towards the human spirit. Its time such
so-called "mullas" were deposed from their pulpits and throne as lacking fundamental wisdom as to raison d'etre
especially amongst people I have often found with human beauty of spirit at times second to none it seems, so
I swear.
